West Dorset is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 1997 by Oliver Letwin, a Conservative. ==History== The seat was created under the Redistribution of Seats Act 1885. ;Political history West Dorset has been served only by Conservative MPs. Historic results do not indicate regular marginal majorities leading to a status as a safe seat if based on the historic, period of representation, measure alone.
